SIGNED, SEALED, DELIVERED
The SAMA Award-winning Sterling EQ will be making their European debut in December 2011, with performances in Germany, promoted by ROKA EVENTS. Sterling will be performing in Hamburg, Hannover, Heilbronn, Munchen, Stuttgart and Karsruhe, from the 13th to the 18th of December, tapping in to the Christmas holidays entertainment fever in Europe.
The members of the four-piece supergroup, who have performed at top international events and shared stages with global music icons like Boney M and Snow Patrol, and recently clinched a coveted EMI record deal, are excited about performing in Europe for the first time. ”We can’t wait to experience the breathtaking beauty of what will probably be a white Christmas time; we’ve been looking forward to debut in Europe for a while, and are delighted to work with the top promoter in the genre.”, says band leader and flute virtuoso Carina Bruwer, who is also known for her marathon swimming feats in the early naughties. “We hope this will be the first of many!”
Sterling EQ has taken the genre of instrumental music to new heights in South Africa, having proven their strength in the industry through sold out shows across the country and substantial features on all SA’s major TV magazine programs and print media. Their three releases (CDs Nova and Sterling Speel Afrikaans, and Live DVD Sterling EQ Live in Concert) earned them 3 SAMA nominations and 1 SAMA Award, with their 3rd album due for release in june 2012, having signed a record deal with the multinational record company, EMI Music in September this year.
