LATEST REVIEW: YSB OFFICIAL REVIEW – STERLING EQ If you thought that classical music could not be sexy or fun then you have never seen Sterling EQ play. I had my expectations exceeded in a very pleasant way by this group. These four lovely ladies will take you on a journey that is captivating and entertaining. The journey that one is taken on from start to finish is breathtaking and enjoyable. The Group has got loads of talent for their individual instruments and clearly love playing the music styled for them. The ladies are a must see if you enjoy music. It doesn’t matter what your personal preference is, they cover it all from classical to Kwaito. As a live act they are captivating and do everything to draw you into their songs. The simple introductions for each song or section of the performance are slick and well executed. It was the true expression of the saying “time flies when you are having fun” as the show seemed to finish “quickly” yet when I looked at the time we had been entertained for just over an hour. If you ever see any promotional material for Sterling EQ and have never seen their show, do yourself a favour and book tickets – you will not be disappointed. - LOGAN BLACKMAN, www.yoursoapbox.co.za _________________________________________________________ Extract from THE HERALD REVIEW, 30/07/10 THE spark of energy that was Sterling EQ ripped through the Boardwalk’s Amphitheatre at the weekend. The dazzling foursome – dressed in sequins and balancing on towering heels – took the audience away from the usual cliched classical performances and truly tested the boundaries with their brand of instrumental electro-pop ranging from “Mozart to Mandoza”. It is not often that a classically-trained flautist can improvise such as the Amazonian Bruwer does. She excelled with the hauntingly beautiful flute introduction of Michael Flatley’s Wheel from Riverdance.
